Last day of the rest of my life. I wish I would’ve known. Cause I would’ve kissed my mama goodbye. I didn’t tell her that I loved her, how much I care. Or thank my pops for all the talks. I don’t really know this kid. But I sat by him in class. Maybe this kid was reaching out for love. Or maybe for a moment. He forgot who he was. Or maybe this kid just wanted to be hugged. No matter how hard he tried. Often thought of suicide. It’s kind of hard when you ain’t got no friends. He put his life to an end. They might remember him then. Laatste dag van de rest van mijn leven. Ik wou dat ik het geweten had. Want dan had ik mijn moeder vaarwel gekust. Ik heb haar niet verteld dat ik van haar hou, hoeveel ik om haar geef. Of mijn vader bedankt voor alle gesprekken. En alle wijsheid die hij deelde. Onbewust, deed ik gewoon wat ik altijd doe. Elke dag, dezelfde routine. Voordat ik naar school ging. Maar wie wist dat deze dag anders was dan de rest. In plaats van een test te maken. Ik nam er twee in de borst. Noem me blind, maar ik zag het niet aankomen. Iedereen was aan het rennen. Johnny jongen speelde altijd de dwaas. Hij brak alle regels. Zodat je zou denken dat hij cool was. Hij was nooit echt een van de jongens. Hoe hard hij het ook probeerde. Dacht vaak aan zelfmoord. Het is nogal moeilijk als je geen vrienden hebt. Hij maakte een eind aan zijn leven. Misschien herinneren ze hem dan. Je overschrijdt de grens en er is geen weg terug.
